I was just wondering who all was surprised by any results last week? I saw the Titans beat the Buccanears 42-14. I saw that bing said it was a 62% chance that the Titns would loose. I'd say that many were surprised by them winning instead.

Mariota did seem to show flashes of being a legit QB, but it'll be interesting to see how he does vs. a good defense. I hope he ends up having a good career, though I've seen a lot of comparisons to RG3...so it remains to be seen.

I think in general week 1 was a comedy of errors from so many teams...with the ultimate example being the late game last night with my favorite team playing like they had never touched a football before, and the 49ers not being much better until late. It was painful to watch.

The other low points for the football week for me was when two of my top 3 receivers on my fantasy team DeSean Jackson and Dez Bryant got injured and are out for multiple weeks. Though Julio Jones did end up saving me with his strong performance, so I still won. It might be a long season yet though...

I was stunned to see Jacksonville State put up such a fight against Auburn. UCLA's freshman QB was amazing to watch, even though he looks like a little kid in the face.  ;)

I was surprised about the Ravens and Broncos game.  Both of the TDs in the game were returned interceptions.

My two favorite teams, the Redskins and the Vikings had a total of 13 points between them.

I knew it was too good when the Vikings went 4-1 in the preseason.  And, I bought a new Vikings jersey and I cannot return it because it was a customized.  But then again, it was only the first game, the Vikings still might get to the playoffs.

Who is the jersey of? Just curious. My wife got me a Percy Harvin jersey during his second season with the Vikes; I told her that's who I wanted because I wanted someone who had a good chance of being with the team for a long time to come. Turns out I was a bit off on that prediction...

I'm not necessarily surprised, but I was really glad to see the Falcons open up with a victory.

My daughter gave me a Percy Harvin jersey for my birthday.  I also thought that he was going to be around for a long time.  This time I had the jersey customized:  my last name is on the back and my number is 56 (for the year I was born).  My wife got one too (her number is 64).  My position is middle linebacker and my wife's is offensive tackle.

If I had gotten a jersey with a player's name, I would have chose Kyle Rudolph.

Very cool, I certainly hope you are around for awhile to be able to use that jersey  ;). And maybe one of these years we'll win a Super Bowl. As for your Redskins, well, not sure what to say about them at this point, other than I do hope DeSean Jackson comes back soon...

I have come to the conclusion that buying a Patriots jersey with the name of a running back is pointless.  ;)

Yeah, I'd say your best option would be to go with your tight end...I'd say if the Patriots are smart, which they seem to be, he'll be around for awhile.

By this logic, if I buy a Jay Cutler jersey does that mean the Bears will finally get rid of him?

You can't cut Cutler; he's cutless.

Well, fortunately for the Vikings, we didn't have Harvin guaranteed to the tune of $54,000,000.00 (I wrote it out like that just to highlight the absurdity). So you'd probably have to buy a couple million jerseys so that the Bears could afford to get rid of him...
