There is a red banner that says "ESPN ALERT."  The link is in that and says, "Launch Draft"
May you prosper greatly!

Hmmm.... Ok, obviously I should have scouted this out before hand, but I was driving back from school today, I've got a red bar in my team page, right under my name that says draft in progress, I can find no such banned with ESPN alert, launch draft. Just go on without me, It's not the end of the world.

I'm fairly happy with my pitching. It's nothing amazing like Matt's but Dr. Roy, Matt Cain, and Ubadalo Juminezz is nothing to sniff at for starting pitchers. After that it goes down hill though ;)

My team - It's acceptable for now.  I missed out on two players that were picked by Sean and someone else right before my pick but it wasn't super crucial.  I have a very well-rounded team with lots of speed, speed, speed in the outfield.  My starters are fine as long as the Dodgers do well this year.  My relief is quite stout.

RDT - This team could be powerhouse if Votto and Soto stay healthy and produce.  VERY deep in the outfield...several trade prospects to maybe pick up a reliever, where the biggest weakness lies.  Starters are solid.

Sean - Bar none the best outfield amongst everyone.  Infield needs to get healthy and stay that way.  First 3 starters are probably top 10 if not top 5 by the end of the season.  Relievers are average to good.

Andrew D. - There are some IFs here, but if they come through this could be the team to beat.  If Kinsler gets healthy...if Reynolds doesn't K as much...if Sizemore and Hamilton return to form...wow!  Starters are average but relief is top-notch.

Andrew W. - Need a backup 3B cause Chipper doesn't play every day.  Strong on the right side of the field.  Good backups.  If Peavy returns to form, starters are solid.  Relief is serviceable.

Chris F. - If Ramirez stays healhty this is one of the best infields.  Well-balanced team with power and speed.  Two great starters with three ranging anywhere from very good to average.  Relief is volatile: could be great and could be awful.

Alan R. - One of the strongest lineups, especially if Beltran returns to form.  Of course, with G. Jones, Beltran might be on the bench a lot.  A lot of questions remain for the starters, especially Webb and Hudson.  Relief is middle of the road.

Jonathan G. - Needs to trade for Orlando Cabrera...j/k!  Great infield, average outfield, lots of power but not a lot of speed.  Four good starters but needs a 5th.  Top 3 relief staff!

sk - TONS of power!  Lineup likes to go deep but only two .300 hitters.  Speed okay.  Needs more balance with reserves...just 1B and OF won't cut it.  Pitching is the weak spot on this team.  Starters have potential but relief needs relief. ;)

Cincy - And finally to the team that didn't show during draft.  This team will survive with Pujols and the best starting rotation!  LOL, well, this team did end up getting some other good position players.  I like Ellsbury, Choo, Morneau, Young, and Ramirez and Beckham have huge upside.  This team has no relief, though!

Chipper will have an awesome year. I'm sure of it. plus, I won't bother paying attention to when he's playing or not, haha.

Hey Stamp,
Thanks for the opinion.   As you can tell, on offense, I decided to focus on BA and HR.  I did sacrifice SB, but that is my preferential in liking ball players anyway when watching baseball.  Sorry I missed the Cabrera joke.   :-[
As for pitching, I had 5 starters last year and ended up in the middle of the pack overall (despite being top 2 or 3 in wins).  I watched the leaders and they had more relief then starting.  I have been debating on dropping one of my bench players for an okay starter but I may wait a couple of weeks in to do that.  It's one of those up-in-the-air things for me.  I appreciate the synopsis....I guess I didn't do too bad drafting last.

Well, you already have Miguel Cabrera at 1B and Asdrubal Cabrera at 2B, so I figured Orlando Cabrera at SS would almost complete your infield.   :D

The best I could do would be to make you a co-manager.  That would require one of the guys who are already playing to be willing to share a team with you.
May you prosper greatly!

Hey guys, I think ESPN is glitched. It is saying Mauer hasn't hit 59 home runs yet, and it also says he isn't batting 5.359 with a slugging percentage of 9.539....

Please fix this.

Kindest Regards,

So yeah, Jon Rauch has 4 saves in the first week for me, I'm loving it :) Can somebody explain to me how the scoring works? On monday I was in 5th, Wednesday I was in 3rd, Yesterday I was in 1st and today I'm in 4th.

Hey, the ESPN real-time stat things says I'm tied for first as of now. Hasn't the glitch been fixed yet? Mauer should give me atleast 400 points in every category.

In roto leagues your ranking can fluctuate drastically.  After the first month, the changes slow down a bit.

Who would have thought that after the first week Jon Rauch would have already locked up 5 saves? ESPN projected that he would get 25 during the season (pre-season) currently he's on pace to hit 101 (Yeah right). I know very little about baseball outside of the team who scores the most wins :) Is 40 a reasonable number to expect from him down the stretch? (Assuming no injuries etc)

Eww. Ring Wraith passed me in the standings >:c

40 is probably a bit low. Your average closer's save percentage is 87%, and the Twins were able to offer Nathan 52 chances at saves last year. That means, if Rauch closed last year, he'd get about 45 saves.

The thing is the Twins are much better this year. The starting pitching has shown some hope, unlike the blood bath last year. The offense has gotten better with the additions of Hudson and Thome, and then there is going to be Mauer's power and Delmon Young breaking out (hopefully). Meaning, they'll be able to offer Rauch a few more save opportunities.
