Glad I stuck with Teixeira after tonight. About time my first round pick acted like one.

I hope A-Fraud took notice of Braden's PERFECT GAME!!  If he decides to walk over Braden's mound again, Bill Selig might even suspend him.   :D

Way to go, Dallas!!

Yeah...I was gonna pick up Braden today but decided on Santana instead.  Horrible choice.

Ouch... My starters go 6/28 while I leave Pudge on the bench going 4/4 and Hawpe on the DL, not realizing they recalled him today goes 2/3. Just ouch.

That's the risk of having bench players.  You can decide on not having them and miss out on having players on your daily roster when they have off days.  Or you can have bench players knowing that there may be some days when your bench players perform better.  It's give and take.  It also depends on the league type and league roster settings on how many bench players I keep.  I have two leagues this year where all my bench players are pitchers.  I have another league where I have a backup for every position.  Once or twice already this year those backups have hit way better than the starters.

The cover article from yesterday on the ESPN fantasy page was about that exact issue.

I have noticed a relatively low amount of activity from about half of the participants.  I would like to encourage everyone to update their team weekly, if not daily.  I realize that some people are far off the lead but that doesn't mean the possibility of winning is gone.  Anything can happen in fantasy, especially if key players get injured or traded.  A more active league will inevitably be a more enjoyable league, even if you don't win.

Anything can happen in fantasy
This has been proven by STAMP ::)

On a side note, I think its kind of funny I was expected to have a powerhouse offense and a questionable pitching staff. Currently, I'm near the middle on offense (at the time of posting this, my offense was 1-22 with 7 Ks. The hit was a single.) and have the most points from the pitching stats (66.5 compared to RDT's 65.5 ;)). Although, I was fortunate enough to get Cain and Peavy.

I will be the first to apologize for the lack of activity.  I have changed jobs twice & my wife finished school, and has been trying to find a job.  So our life has been really busy, but I try to at least keep up with it enough to have a full line up, but I haven't been on in a week or so.  :-\  Sorry Sean!

Yeah, but it is discouraging to drop from a battle for 3rd/4th to last.  No matter what moves i make, my team inexplicably keeps falling.  I'm trying to stay with it, but as my moves become more futile the less enthusiasm I can muster up.

Please know that I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty.  I'm just trying to get everyone the beset experience they can get.

I am looking for somebody to take control of crustpope's team.  He doesn't have enough time to keep up because of his masters studies as well as having an infant.  If anyone knows of somebody who would want to join us please direct them to me.

May you prosper greatly!

Can we like reduce STAMP's points by 50% per day or something? He is too good. :P

Its soooo frustrating. I was holding 2nd/3rd for like a week, but I'm nowhere close to STAMP.

I've given up on STAMP. I decided to shoot for second and traded Halladay to him for Werth, so my hitting should start going up :)

My goal is to somehow fall to last while keeping my star players. That way next year I'll have some good keepers and first pick.

Ah, Man....

This is why I hate working.... I looked this morning, saw Posey was listed as Day-to-Day, I didn't want to risk not getting points so I put in Montero in the catcher spot. Get home and see Posey going 3-3 with two bombs and 6! RBI's...... Man.....

It still shows that it is a keeper league in the settings.

WHAT?! That is REALLY disappointing you didn't announce that in the season. Had I known it wasn't going to be a keeper leauge I wouldn't have hesitated to drop the likes of Upton in the middle of the season, or Fielder/Johnson at the end. I'm not sure I want to play next year. It could have very well affected the outcome

I am just as disappointed as any and didn't realize I'd done it until just a few days ago.  I still don't understand how exactly I messed it up but I was thinking we should have been able to chose our keepers by this point.  If the ability to chose keepers becomes available then I guess I would have done it right but I'm just not sure.

Edit:
Well, I may be wrong about the keeper setting being wrong.  I'm not sure because I feel like we should already have the option to pick our keepers.  However, the keeper selections for next season are set to lock one hour before draft so maybe it takes a while for the option of choosing the keepers to become available.
