Exchange/Band and Negate

If The Angel of the Winds is exchanged with Moses (8/8), does Moses negate The Angel of the Winds?

I'm not sure since The Angel of the Winds is no longer in play when Moses' ability activates.

I'm also wondering if indirect negate is still a thing; for examle Gomer (Crimson) bands to Ananias to Sapphira; is only Gomer left in battle? Or Gomer and Sapphira since just Gomer's ability that brought Ananias in was negated.

I don't see why he would. Angel of the Winds would end up in deck (since that's the only place he can exchange) and Moses (if you're referring to the cloud one) specifies he only negates characters in territory and the field of battle.

Indirect negation is "still a thing", yes. However, Ananias is CBN so Sapphira stays in battle because CBN means CBN, it can't even indirectly be negated.

What about The Amalekites' Slave bringing Sapphira into battle? The Amalekites' Slave is no longer a character when Sapphira's ability activates, but would it still be negated?

Again, no. By the time the card would otherwise be negated, it is a Soul and not an eligible target.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

captured character
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

I understand "captured characters" are not the same as "characters."

I am still wondering about The Amalekites' Slave bringing in a fight-by-numbers character into battle? The Amalekites' Slave is no longer a character when a character like Sapphira's ability activates, but would it still be negated?

I am unable to confirm if the prior responses were and are still correct, but if so, the self-capture abilities seem especially useful.

An ability on a character that "changes" (converts to meek, captures, etc.) is no longer in play to be negated by a FBTN/"negate all" card, even if the card is physically in play. An ongoing ability (Captured Kinsmen's "negate multi-brigade cards", Noah's "prevent cards") can still be hit by an interrupt the battle ability, but that's about it, I think.
