"Add to battle" vs "Play an enhancement"

I know that "add to battle" for characters is considered a banding ability currently. Is adding an enhancement to battle with an "add to battle" ability considered a "may play an enhancement" ability?

Basically, I'm wondering if "add to battle" for enhancements receives the same inherent CBI status as "may play an enhancement" abilities.

If I understand your question correctly, I believe that is the case.  The old explanation was always, "you can unDO an ability but you can't unPLAY a card".

Hopefully this draconian ruling gets changed after Natz.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
