Army of the Lord

My opponent RA's with Michael (KI) and I block with Leper. Mike contracts Leprosy, and I have init. I play Idle Gossip to make Michael and my opponent's TSA (KI) fight. To keep them both from being d/c (mutual destruction) he plays Army of the Lord on Michael.

Does this band in TSA and Captain (in his territory) and thus end the side battle, bringing TSA and Cappy to the original RA? If yes to TSA and Cappy being brought back with Mike, do TSA and Cappy contract Leprosy?

A few things.

1) When the opponent adds his TSA to the side battle, it would negate Idle Gossip, ending the side battle.

2) You cant band to a character on the other side of the field in side battles.

3) TSA would negate Leper as well, canceling the disease on Michael.

I agree with all of those.  Negating the side battle ends the battle, negates everyting that happened in the main battle and basically puts Mike and leper in the main battle as if nothing else happened ...except it makes it FBTN and mikes enhancements CBN...soo it doesnt look good for the Leper...

I am still very confused on this point. Some people say that FbtN characters only negate cards in the battle they are in, but others say that they negate all enhancements, and still others say that you just can't negate a side-battle-starting card during the side battle that it starts, or something like that. What and where is the rule for this?

it basically depends on the wording on the card played.  If it says all enhancements in current battle, then it does nothing in the main battle, only the side battle.  If it just says all enhancements..then it means all enhancements, including those in the main battle.

I still think they need to make BTN a viable strategy. Right now it seems like everything ignores/negates it and it is the WORST deck type to play with.

...except that FBTN negates all those ignores... you just have to get them played in battle..

FBTN is by far one of the most fun strategies. I think it's definitely still dominant.

with all the Cannot be ignored cards, I think it made Fbtn that much more powerful too.
