Title: Windows question...
Post by: uthminister [BR] on May 26, 2011, 03:50:49 PM
Windows of Narrow Light (P)
Type: Artifact • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Protect your Heroes with no special ability from capture, conversion and removal from the game. • Play As: Protect your Heroes with no special ability from capture, convert and remove from the game abilities. • Identifiers: OT, Temple Item • Verse: I Kings 6:4 • Availability: Promotional cards (2008 Local Tournament)

Does WoNL apply to characters with no special abilities printed on the card or does it also apply to characters who currently have no special ability (i.e. Confusion of Mind, etc.)?

My answer would be with no ability on the card, but that is just my gut reaction. Reason is that the hero still has an ability but it is being negated so it is still there but he simply can't use it.

A negated ability is still an ability.

A negated ability is still an ability.
Just for completeness...so is an ability that does not convert on a character that has been converted.  So if you convert Gomer (band to any male EC) to a hero, she still has an ability as far as Windows is concerned.

Got it...thanks for making that distinction as well!
