Who goes first?

I drew 3 LS, and my opponent drew 4 (3 + hopper).  So, now, I have 4 LS and he has 3.  Who goes first?  Is it who draws the most, or who has the most?

It seems to me that is should be who has the most, not who "drew" the most.  The rules were designed to help the one with the most LS in the LoB.

Update:  From the REG:

The player who draws the most Lost Soul cards decides who will take the first turn. If two or more players draw the same number of Lost Soul cards, roll a die (or use some other random method) to determine who will choose the player to take the first turn. The player selected to go first will begin his first turn. (See Diagram of a Turn). The person to the player’s left takes the next turn. A round is completed when each player finishes one turn.

What is the logic behind this?  This IMO should be changed to who HAS the most.

You're correct that the person who drew the most goes first, in this case the person who drew the hopper.  This was discussed once before.  If I remember correctly Rob (or maybe it was Bryon) who chimed in and said it will probably be changed when the next starter (and therefore rulebook) is released.  My impression was that at that time it will be the player with the most souls in the LoB gets to go first.

Hmmmm...... is this a spoiler? A lack of recent updates to the REG makes me wonder if that new rulebook is coming soon....

No spoilers here.  There have been a few things over the past couple years that I've heard might be changed or looked at again whenever a new starter (and therefore rulebook) is printed.  Scott Stamp's campaigne for "demons cannot be redeemed" is another one of those things I hope that we can look forward to.

That was supposed to be changed for the THIRD edition rulebook.  :(

Here's hoping the change can be pushed through in the next revision.  This has been a long time coming.
