This somewhat came up tonight and neither of us were absolutely sure which came first. So here's a scenario:
Nahum has been set aside with an enhancement that activates when he enter battles (let's say Passover & Unleavened Bread (the important part is that it activates when they enter battle)). I activate Hidden Treasures and initiate a rescue attempt. My question is, which one would activate first, the set aside ability or the artifact ability?
Nahum
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 3 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: Negate all special abilities on pale green Evil Characters. Nahum has access to all sites.
Passover & Unleavened Bread
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Teal/Red • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Set aside all of your human Heroes for one turn. For the next one of those Heroes that enters battle, return an Evil Character in play to the bottom of its owner’s draw pile.
Hidden Treasures
Type: Artifact • Brigade: • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Once per turn, if your lone green brigade prophet begins a battle, you may play an Enhancement or discard an evil Enhancement in an opponent's deck.

Get Aristotle to answer this one. God came first.

the chicken obviously

the chicken obviously
No, God came first and he made the first egg/chicken.

No, God came first and he made the first egg/chicken.
True. But he made the chicken before the egg. The Chicken's survival rate is greater than that of an egg therefore He would have chosen to make the chicken before the egg, diminishing the chance the chicken being extinct.

That's what I was getting at

Character abilities must complete before HT so it'd be
Nahum, Passover, and HT.

Chicken and egg are separate entities. Where there is chicken, there is egg inside the chicken. Where there is egg, there is chicken inside the egg. They occurred simultaneously.

No, an egg is a chicken, but it is not fully potentialized yet. However, can we say that there is a "perfect" or "fully potentialized chicken?" Of course no such thing can be found; therefore, the first cause must be a "fully potentialized chicken" which laid the first egg, however, this chicken must not have come from an egg itself, therefore it is "non-temporal." -A paraphrase of St. Thomas Aquinas and Aristotle.

actually, God created the chicken and that chicken laid the first egg just as eve gave birth to the world's first child: Cain

One usually assumes that that is the case, yes.
