Isnt the battle over only once the Lost Soul has been given?

The group I play with has a hard time with admitting they lose.  Say a RA is started and Furnace of God's Wrath "discard an evil character" or Power of the Cross "convert and evil character" is played, a negate card can still be played, but the guys I play with like to stall and act like they might have one in their hand waiting for another player to play a burial or christian martyr hoping they have one.  So the question is can you stall like that or do you have to play a card pretty quick?

We normally get around scenarios like that by saying "can anybody do anything?" Sometimes people abuse this by asking before they run out of enhancements but that's why 'friends don't let friends play T1 multi.'

Here in Ohio, we basically say "Help" if we are losing and either dont want to save the EC or cannto save the EC.  At that time if anyone wants to prevent the rescue via artifact or Dominant, they should do so, because after about 5 seconds wait or so, we basically tell them to pass the LS over.

While this type of "table Talk" may not be legal, we just do it to expidite the game instead of stalling hoping for someone to help us out wia dominants, etc.  It is perfectly legal for other players to play Doms in a battle that they have no character in so we just accept that and try to expdite the process.

If you are irritated that doms are being played against you by other people not in battle, wait until you get in a game where EVERYONE saves their doms for you.

More than just being perfectly legal, asking "Help?" or "Would anyone like to do anything?" prior to surrendering a Lost Soul is considered the best way to get around the "I wasn't given a chance to play my Dominants" plaint that pops up. While the former might be slightly irritating, the latter can be positively poisonous to collegial play.
