Philistine Priests versus various artifacts

I've started using Philistines in Type 2, and I'm not sure what happens when Philistine Priests face various artifacts.

For example, I have Holy Grail active. Opponent activates Captured Ark and makes me shuffle it.  If I then block with Philistine Priests, and negate and deactivate Captured Ark, does it go back in time and bring my Holy Grail back?

If they use Hidden Treasures to look through my deck and discard an evil enhancement, can Philistine Priests allow me to shuffle that card back into my draw pile?

Are there other situations with different artifacts that work differently that I should know about?

I guess I just want to make sure I would rule correctly about how far back in time these Priests go, in case I had to rule on them in a tournament.

Thanks for your help.

Unless your opponent activated CA in the battle phase (with Meal in Emmaus or something of the sort) then it would be too late for PP to negate the ability. He can deactivate it, but since the ability was activated in the prep phase, negating it in battle does nothing.

Hidden Treasures was used in the battle phase, so yes, you could get your enh back by blocking with PPriests.

Basically, any Artifact that has had, is having, or will have an effect on the Battle Phase can be stopped, assuming it is negatable, by PPriests. Any artifact that had their effect during the prep phase cannot be.
