What would happen?

Say, for example, someone attacks w/nahum and is blocked by egyptian warden.  They discard the enhancement to capture their opponent, but they play swords into plowshares to interrupt the battle, since they can't play a btn enhancement (there aren't any in green brigade).  Swords doesn't discard any enhancements and the battle is interrupted, but now what? Can he play something else to kill his opponent or does the special ability on the warden continue, considering it was just interrupted and not negated?

Swords doesn't help because it says interrupt and discard after you discard the interrupt goes away
An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.

Interrupt only works untill the ability on the card finishes. Playing plowshares would be a waste of good swords.

Say, then,  nahum attacks and king shallum blocks.  He plays deceit of sapphira, but you play swords.  Does it help at all? Can you play something else?

Swords into Plowshares
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 3 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and discard all weapons and evil Enhancements. Cannot be negated if used by Isaiah or Micah. • Attributes: Based on Prophecy, Depicts a Weapon • Identifiers: OT, Based on Prophecy, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: Micah 4:3 • Availability: Rock of Ages (Set 13)

When you are being removed from battle, the only thing you can do is play an interrupt or negate to try to stop the removal. You only get one chance. Swords into Plowshares will do that, if the card causing the removal is an enhancement (or weapon).

In your first example, SiP did not help because it did not discard the card causing the removal, since it was a character. In the second example, it will work, since Deceit of Sapphira was causing the removal, was interrupted, then was discarded before it could reactivate.

For the sake of completeness, if you have an opportunity to interrupt the removal ability and then discard a character out from under the winning Enhancement, then the Enhancement would come back after the interrupt, try to activate, (presumably) have no one of matching brigade to activate on, and fizzle and do nothing.

So you can kill the card that is removing you, or if it's played on a character, you can snatch the character out from under it.

In other words, you could interrupt the battle and shuffle Warden with Two Bears. After Warden is shuffled, the enhancement that Warden discarded to capture you searches for Warden, doesn't find him, and then fizzles.

Doesn't the enhancement return to hand because warden's ability was interrupted?

I know it would if the ability was negated, but I'm not sure about interrupt. :-\

Interrupt is doing the same thing a negate would do just removing the ec instead of preventing the ability isn't it?

No.  If you are able to interrupt and get rid of Warden, you are saving yourself by stopping the character's ability.  I am talking about the ability on an Enhancement that is played on the character.

Interrupt the battle is different than negating a SA...I think.

Yes it is. An "interrupt the battle" card will not stop Egyptian Warden from capturing a hero in battle, since capture is not an ongoing ability.

You would need to negate Egyptian Warden's SA or use an enhancement that specifically states that it interrupts character abilities.

Not so, not so...

REG:
Interrupt the battle interrupts the following:
•      Your opponent’s special abilities that are (1) causing you to be losing by removal (e.g., your opponent’s Net), or (2) causing a mutual destruction by mutual removal (e.g., your opponent’s King Zimri but not your own King Zimri).
•      The last enhancement played in battle, as long as it was played by an opponent (e.g., your opponent’s False Peace but not your own Reach of Desperation).
•      ALL ongoing special abilities (see Ongoing Abilities).

Anyway, what I'm wondering is whether interrupting Warden's SA would also bring back the enhancement he discarded to capture you. I would think so, since the discarding is part of his SA, but I'm not positive.
