Title: What happens when a temple gets nuked?

So I get Z temple discarded and it has an art on it. What happens to the art when the temple gets discarded?  Does it get put back on the art pile or is it discarded? I havnt seen this happen for a while so sorry for the dumb question :p

The art follows the temple.
