Unknown Nation and "opponent's hero"

Well, I keep forgetting to ask this, not anymore! If I use Stalks O' Flax to exchange heroes, are they still considered my opponent's heroes? If so, could I then use cards like Madness or Unknown Nation? I'm guessing this doesn't work for exchanged heroes, since they are temporarily your heroes, but what if I band to an opponent's hero?

Madness
Type: Curse • Brigade: Orange • Ability: 1 / 5 • Class: None • Special Ability: If opponent’s Hero is in battle, you may convert this card to an orange brigade Evil Character and add it to battle. Cannot be interrupted. • Play As: When holder chooses, holder may convert this card to an orange brigade Evil Character and add to battle. Cannot be interrupted. • Identifiers: Generic OT Genderless (not Human, not Demon)

Unknown Nation
Type: Curse • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 0 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: If opponent’s Hero is in battle, you may discard this card to search draw pile for a human Evil Character and add it to battle. Cannot be interrupted. • Play As: If opponent’s Hero is in battle, when holder chooses, you may discard this card to search deck for a human Evil Character and add to battle. Cannot be interrupted. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts an Idol
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

"Opponent's" on a card refers to the controller of a card (I believe) so heroes given via Stalks would be your opponent's heroes for the duration of the ability.

As for banding to your opponent's hero, I believe for the duration of that band it's considered your hero (since you control it). You can't band to unique characters if you already have one in your territory, so I think this is correct.

Incorrect. "Opponent's" refers to ownership and control. Your opponent only has control of stalked Heroes. It's weird, but exchanged cards are not "your" or "opponent's." Maybe they're Santa's?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

as much as I agree, couldn't you then use those as a CTB card?

If I'm not mistaken you can only use Unknown Nation and Madness to add characters to battle if you are blocking. you can't add characters to your opponent's side of battle.

it says if opponent's hero is in battle. that's why you couldn't before. steal his hero, then rescue and use it.

the REG defines: “opponent's” means the other player whose character is fighting your character in battle.

Polarius is correct. When a card says opponents hero it means a hero that they both own and control. I once used a combo where i would create a side battle making two heros fight where i would be in control of my opponents hero and put it in my The Name of the Lord. It was quickly noted that your hero meant owner and controller.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!
