I'm no expert, but my guess would be since he isn't actually holding the weapon, she would be underdecked. Her ability wouldn't update until after Spear's ability is completed, at which time he isn't holding it and she's too late. However, if Spear's ability was negated, but it was not discarded, then her ability would update, ignoring Abimilech. But again, I'm no expert, so I could be way off.
Do characters hold new weapons in battle? I don't think so because after words you can decide to keep it or toss. So I don't think she ever ignores this character.
More importantly, Salome's ignore wouldn't even kick in until after you finish with Ishy's spear. So if you are playing it for it's ability then it has to resolve before Salome could ignore your EC.

Even if it counted as holding to simply play it, because it's ability activates before Salome's, it's activated and gone before her ability has a chance to do anything. A related question of my own, completely hypothetical. If Salome begins a rescue attempt, opponent uses Golgotha, blocks with a NT EC holding Ishy's spear, which is used. Then you play words of encouragement on Salome to interrupt the battle then band in Isaiah with call, who negates Golgotha. Then what happens? The abilities would reactivate in the order they were played, correct? So Salome would activate first, now ignoring the EC. Then spear would activate, but now Salome is ignoring it. Yes? Then what about of the opponent negates words of encouragement? Does the reactivation not happen and Salome is still underdecked?
