Enhancement card question "Arrogance"

Arrogance Crimson enhancement SA: Holder may play as many evil enhancements as desired. Initiative passes when holder is done playing enhancements.

1. Does the "Initiative passes when holder is done playing enhancements "affect SI at all?

Example if EC plays arrogance then plays a battle winner enhancement and targets the last hero in battle does SI still kick in for the opponent?

I'm not sure. I would say yes, the hero would get special initiative, because it is special. But that would be dumb, because it nullifies the point of the card.

The point of the card is to nullify initiative passing because of numbers IMO. You can kill everything in battle except the last hero, because when that hero is discarded/converted/removed from battle somehow; special initiative kicks in. At least that is the way I understand it. Otherwise Arrogance will be seeing more play.

This used to be ruled that you could play as much as you wanted, and THEN Special Initiative kicked in, if it could.  For instance, if I played an end the battle card after using a different card to remove the hero, SI couldn't happen since the battle ended.  You may see references in old threads to this sort of thing.

THIS HAS CHANGED.

Per the new rules on Special Initiative, it happens IMMEDIATELY when an ability would remove the last character from a side of the battle.  Please review the new rule which goes into much more detail, but essentially removing the last hero grants SI even if you have Arrogance, which as pointed out essentially means that you do not pass initiative based on the numbers in the battle.

Hurray, SI was finally figured out since I was last here.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

This was actually very recent (in the past few months). The thread is here:
