If I have a warrior-class hero holding a weapon-class enhancement and he gets hit by Christian Martyr and I play Brass Serpent (Discard all poisons and diseases in play. Heal all Heroes in play) does the weapon class enhancement get discarded?

Thanks I can't remember the ruling on this.

Yes it stays in discard pile.

Nothing in the Heal ability says that it also recovers any placed cards, and since placed/held cards are not 'on' the character while they are in discard, they cannot follow them back to play.

Of course if you want a way to keep the weapon you could use something that insteads the discard like Herods Temple.
