Various Questions

Hey, folks:

I have a few questions that recently came up in a game.

1) Army of Simeonites are a Red brigade Hero who states, "whenever this hero is about to be discarded, instead return Army of Simeonites to their territory with abilities reduced 3/3" (that's paraphrased). I had played Wounded on Army of Simeonites, which states: "Place this card on a Hero. While this card is there, Hero's abilities are decreased 0/5. Cannot be prevented by a good card." Now, if I kill the Army of Simeonites in battle, since they are "instead" returned to their territory and not the discard pile, would Wounded remain on them? Or would Wounded be discarded since the Army of Simeonites were killed?

2) Now, I was playing Blue brigade, and I played Courage to band in another Hero. My friend played a Black brigade Enhancement (the name escapes me at the moment) that interrupts and redirects the last good enhancement played. He wanted to band in a hero to aid his evil character in battle, since the card states to add another hero to the battle. My understanding would be that by redirecting Courage, he would in effect send my hero home, then not be able to use the card because he can't add a hero to fight alongside an evil character. Is this correct?

3) I played Benefiting from Troubles, which states: "Redirect abilities (numbers) of one Evil Character in battle back on the Evil Character(s) in battle." My question would be: Since I'm basically using his numbers against him, would he lose the numbers in battle? For instance, he blocked with a 10/10 demon. Is it correct that he would lose the 10/10 and I would gain it on my side of the battle?

4) Finally, I played Innumerable (different game), which states: "Treat this card as a nameless copy of any angel in battle." So is Innumerable, once played, considered a Hero, or is it still considered an Enhancement? Or is it considered both?

Thanks!

1). If Army of Simeonites was "insteaded" then it was not discarded.  Wounded stays.

2). Pride of Simon stops your band to a Hero, then attempts to band the EC to a Hero.  Since the second part is illegal, that does not happen.

3). This is correct.  His 10/10 becomes 0/0 and your 4/4 becomes 14/14.

4). Innumerable is treated as a Hero for the remainder of the battle.  After the battle, it is discarded like a regular Enhancement.

Hey,

2) Now, I was playing Blue brigade, and I played Courage to band in another Hero. Is this correct?

I believe Denying Blame is the Black brigade Enhancement in question.

"A hero can only be banded into battle on a side of battle that already has a hero.  An evil character can only be banded into battle on a side of battle that already has an evil character."

If Courage is redirected the defender then gets to choose a different target for the card.  The new target still has to be a hero but would have to be a hero from the defender's hand or territory rather than the attacker's hand or territory.  The hero would then be banded into battle on the side of battle that already has a hero.

Thank you both! But there seems to be some conflict on question number two. Is it illegal, or would the person who redirected Courage (i.e. the defender) band a Hero into battle on the attacker's side?

Thanks!

Tim is correct that you can band a hero in, it just has to fight on the side of the other heroes (ie, Siege).
