When a warrior holding a weapon enters battle the weapon activates. In the case of Angel's Sword it doesn't to anything until it's trigger is met.

Right, and in the olden days when it said play first you couldn't have played anything if Angels Sword was considered played. That is why the weapon could not have been considered played, because Angels sword worked.
All I am saying is that there was a prescedent that weapons were not considered played in battle.
When that human EC blocks, all abilities associated with that character entering battle complete, including weapons (such as horses) that the EC might be holding. Once all those abilities complete, then Angel's Sword can trigger and you get to play an enhancement.
I am not arguing anything current about angels sword, I get how it works. I am sorry if there was confusion.
