Title: Uzzah and Healing in T-2
Post by: Noah on July 16, 2015, 07:29:18 PM
If I use Uzzah in T-2 to get a successful block by protecting all lost souls from rescue and then heal him with either Torment or Love, does he gain experience credit?

Uzzah: You may discard Uzzah and an Artifact from your hand or artifact pile to protect all Lost Souls from rescue.

Torment: Heal any Evil Character that is being discarded, except by a dominant.

Love: Heal and convert your character to a Hero of any brigade. Place on that Hero: While this Hero is in battle, protect characters not in battle from special abilities on evil cards, except banding.

I couldn't find any rules anywhere about how experience credit even works.

That's a good question I don't believe has been asked before (could be wrong, not seen it myself).

Quote from: Experience Credit
Each time a character successfully rescues a Lost Soul or successfully blocks, the character receives a 1/1 counter. In this way a character grows stronger with experience.

Now, a successful block is only determined during Battle Resolution.  At that point, Uzzah is out of play.  Characters in discard pile are not given credit (as they are 'face value' there), so I don't see any way that this would actually increase Uzzah at this point.  After this, he is healed.  Since he could not have gained a credit while in discard pile, he will not have the credit for that battle once he returns.
