Gibeon Delegates won a battle against Uriah. GD cannot be discarded during battle phase. However, does Uriah's discard ability happen after battle phase is resolved?
Uriah the Hittite (RA2)
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 6 / 2 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Protect Heroes in your territory from discard. After battle, if David is in play, discard Uriah and an Evil Character. Discard abilities cannot be negated.
Gibeonite Delegates (RA2)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Black • Ability: 0 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Protected from discard abilities. If defeated, capture this card to opponent's Land of Bondage. May band to Gibeonite Delegates. Cannot be prevented.

Both abilities are and active for the same period of time, that is, the Battle Phase. If the protection of Gibeonite Delegates has 'expired' (as in, the next phase has started), then you are past the post-battle resolution in which Uriah's ability would trigger. Delegates are still protected, and cannot be discarded (unless the ability were negated during the battle).

Basically Character effects always complete during the battle phase, except for Characters that have an effect that states "while _____ is in play" otherwise the effect completes in the battle phase.
