Covenant Breakers, Pithom and Renewing the Covenant all assume that they do.

I think its tough to understand some of the little unique features of Redemption like this... for example how Peter's Curse loses its artifact qualities once its placed. Browarod, I feel you on this...

Can you point me to that ruling?  I thought that if you activated Peter's Curse as an artifact, that it was still targetable as an artifact (ie. by DoN) after it was placed.

I was more so referring to the fact that you can't deactivate it just like you can any other artifact... "I thought that if you activated Peter's Curse as an artifact, that it was still targetable as an artifact (ie. by DoN) after it was placed." yet another reason why I think you should be able to deactivate it...

@Underwood - If I remember the thread correctly, the ruling was that since Pete's Curse is a "place" ability, that overrides the usual activation/deactivation of artifacts once you place it on something. I'm not sure I agree with that, but I believe that's what the reason was.

That seems to come back to the question of whether all active artifacts automatically deactivate during your prep-phase at some point before they re-activate (or another one activates in their place).  I know there's been some discussion on that in the past, and I don't remember for sure how it turned out.
