I was thinking about this and couldn't figure it out. Why exactly is it that, in a type 2 tournament when someone uses a Haman's Plot he must take out a good card to balance his good/evil but he's not allowed to add an evil card instead? My first thought was that adding a card to your deck after deck check is obviously illegal because you're messing with your deck. But taking out a good card is messing with your deck just the same. If a judge is going to watch and make sure he takes out a good card to balance it, couldn't he just as easily watch the guy put in an evil card to do the same? Also, if the person started the tournament with a legal deck then plays a HP, what's to keep him from playing the rest of the tourney just a card short? It's game rules that made his deck not balanced, why should it HAVE to be balanced before each round?Just some things I was curious to get other people's thoughts on. Feel free to tear them apart as I'm sure you will.
Make the deck 105 Cards, so when you rip one, your deck will still be legal. That is why some people make 51 card decks.

Do you really want to face 5 hp every round?
It is against tournament rules to add cards, but removing cards is legal in the case of an illegal deck.

To stop people from replacing torn Plots with new Plots, probably.
