I was just curious to see if name-on-name still worked with toss since the enhancement is still played?
Name-on-name bonus
Name-on-name bonus is an advanced rule (see Name-on-Name Bonus in the rulebook). When this
rule is in effect, an enhancement card with a person’s name in the title is worth double its abilities
(*/*) when played on a character card that has the same specific person’s name in the title. Play
name-on-name bonus as “person's-name-on-same-person” bonus, because there are examples in
the Bible where the same person has multiple names that are reflected in Redemption®. Name-on-
name bonus does not affect nor is it affected by the special abilities on cards. Characters must be
unique; generic characters cannot be used for name-on-name bonus.
Toss
How to Play
A toss ability allows a player to play an enhancement in a different way than usual; instead of activating the
numbers or special abilities of the enhancement, the enhancement is discarded to decrease an opposing character
by X/X (where X is the strength of the discarded enhancement), regardless of protection or immunity.
A toss ability targets the enhancements that would be played.
A toss ability is ongoing.
Default Conditions
● Enhancements discarded to the toss ability are played from hand.
● The strength of the discarded enhancement is determined by the face value of the card.
● Targets for the decrease must be in battle and controlled by opponent.
Special Conditions
● Weapons which are played in battle, including those placed on characters added to battle, while a toss ability
is already active are also affected.
● Enhancements played in battle due to a special ability, including those added to battle or played in battle, are
also affected by an active toss ability.
Now toss does say that the strength is determined by face value of the discarded enhancement but does name on name alter it's face value? I want to say no to name on name working with toss buy I feel it might should as it still playing the enhancement.
