What happens if I have multiple purple kings in battle when my opponent blocks my RA? Does Throne activate for every king?

"When your purple brigade King is blocked, if no Evil Character in battle has a weapon, you may draw X cards and play an O.T. purple brigade Enhancement."

Blocking only happens once, it can activate once per battle.

Block

Blocking is the attempt to prevent a rescue. Only Evil Characters may block. Whenever an Evil Character enters the Field of Battle against a Hero (regardless of what point the battle is), that is considered a block.

That suggests you could be blocked twice, triggering it twice in one RA.

Why wouldn't it trigger multiple times with multiple kings?

I was under the impression that thorn in the flesh worked with each character blocking.

The discussion referenced from 2009 was the ruling at that time. Since then the elders have had a thorough discussion on the definition of block/blocks/blocked/blocking. The definition from the REG that Lambo referenced above is the conclusion that we came to.

So, if you already have an EC in battle and use a banding or add to battle ability, then cards like TToD will trigger again for each additional character added to battle.

So, for clarification, if I have three banded purple kings that are blocked by three banded Obsidian Minions, I will get to draw nine cards (assuming I do not exceed the hand limit), and then play up to nine enhancements?

Do I have to activate each use of Throne individually (i.e. draw one, then decide to play an enhancement, then draw one, etc.)?

Does it work if i have multiple kings in battle prior to the block as well? (this is quite easy to do, but I dont wanna go spouting my combos yet, even though this is an oooold one of mine.

I would say multiple Kings does not trigger it multiple times. The block is dependent on the EC(s), so when an EC blocks a band of Kings, it blocks both Kings at the same time, and TToD only triggers once.

However, I'm less sure on multiple EC's banded in at the same time, but I think it would work. I know that multiple EC's banded in at different times would definitely work.

I agree with everything Professoralstad said. Except I'm fairly sure that multiple Evil Characters banded in at once constitutes a block for each Evil Character added to the battle.

Okay so let me see if I understand this now:

Block is determined only by the evil characters, and not the heroes?

Meaning, I band 3 heroes, and they block with 1 EC. There was only one block.
I RA with one hero, and they block with 3 ECs. Now there is three blocks.
I RA with three heroes, and they block with 3 ECs. This time, still three blocks.

Am I understanding this right?
