Here is the scenerio.

I have three humans in my territory. Chenaniah, King David, King Solomen. I also have The throne of David out and unified kingdom with testing Solomen's wisdom in my hand.

I go for a rescue with Chenaniah banded to King David. My opponant blocks without a weapon. I draw a card and play unified kingdom to add Solomen to battle.

Q. DO I get to use The throne of david's ability again since King solomen was blocked since I was blocked????

If so I would play solomen's wisdom if not I hope chenaniah's protection cares me through.....

No. My understanding is that the Throne of David only activates the first time an evil character is brought into battle against a purple king, not when a purple king is brought into battle against an evil character. I could be wrong about the "first time" part though.

Throne of David only triggers on the initial blocking (the action taken to put an evil character in battle after a hero is placed in battle) It does not trigger if later other kings or evil characters are added.

Is that the definition of block because if it is then yes I agree (sadly) but if wouldn't that mean that if you band in heroes that the evil character would not be bloccking you???

The reason I say this is the ability starts out "If you purple King is blocked by an Evil character with no weapon......

I don't know if Throne had an errata or something (the old REG being down means I can't check the card), but that's the way it's been played for a while now.

True but a lot of people haven't played Kings for a while....(at least that I've seen). Not trying to be annoying just it would be a cool combo...

If a card triggers off a block (an instant trigger ability) it only triggers on the initial blocking.

If a card has a continuous ability with the condition of being blocked so long as the appropriate characters are in battle it is active.

Jerome has played kings and been nasty with them

I played them in t-2 with Isaiah at nats


Green David plus HT means playing UK preblock add as many purple kings as you want. if throne is up when they block u still get initiative.

If throne isn't up but u have king Solomon go get throne put it in play and now u have initiative off throne
