There's absolutely nothing restricting him from holding multiple weapons; game rule is violated by his special ability, which clearly has a plural. If he wasn't able to hold multiple weapons, the wording would read, "a weapon of any brigade," but it doesn't.

Again, as I said, why can I not use multiple enhancements when I have initiative with a "may use enhancements..." character?  It is for the same reason.  It does not specify that it breaks the rule on using one enhancement at a time.

In the same way, the plural on weapons just indicates that it applies to all eligible weapons, just like the plural on enhancements.  If it broke the rule on holding multiple weapons, it would read "May use and hold any number of weapons, regardless of brigade."  It does not.  Therefore, it cannot.

Seriously, where are the elders on this one?  :o

I'm pretty sure this is down to interpretation now. The English word "weapons" could support either of your sides with just as much validity, so arguing about it more isn't going to convince anyone. It's up to the elders to determine how "weapons" is used.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

The whole point is that he is able to hold weapons of any brigade, right?  But just like "use enhancements of any brigade" does not let me use them all at once (which you concede to me), it still specifies a rule that the card does not obey (use the same brigade as you are).  Holding weapons is limited to brigades of the character using them.  It is the exact same language to indicate that he can hold weapons of any brigade.  However, nowhere in there does it allow him to hold multiple.  That rule is not specified as being broken, just like "use enhancements" does not let him use multiple.
You're misunderstanding me.

First off, you can use all the enhancements at once. I agree that you cannot play them all at once, but they can indeed be battle, and if they're ongoing abilities they are indeed in use. Again, you're confusing use and play.

Let's pretend that Shobach didn't have the hold ability. It would read "May use weapons of any brigade."
Let's look at Coat of Many Colors. "Selected Hero may use enhancement cards from any good brigade until end of current battle."

Coat of Many Colors allows you to use multiple enhancements. You can play Kindness on Joseph and follow it up with a Five Smooth Stones (following rules of initiative, since that's how you play enhancements).
In the same way, Shobach without his hold ability would let you play multiple weapons (following rules of initiative, since that's how you play enhancements). These are exactly the same type of ability, and should be played the same way.

Now, if Shobach can use multiple weapons of differing brigades (like the ruling on Coat of Many Colors would dictate), than holding them follows the same pattern, since they're both followed by the same word. Therefore Shobach can hold all weapons that he uses in battle.

I'm pretty sure this is down to interpretation now. The English word "weapons" could support either of your sides with just as much validity, so arguing about it more isn't going to convince anyone. It's up to the elders to determine how "weapons" is used.
True story. I'm done unless I think of a good argument.

Holding does not follow in the same pattern.  My contention is that it does not specify that it breaks that game rule, so it does not.  This is the crux of the problem.

Also done, but we really need the elders to pay attention to this thread so that we can get this resolved.  I'm done until they come in.

I don't think anyone is saying that you can bein battle and play 15 weapons in a row...playing enhancements and weapons requires initiative, a character holding a weapon does not. You can put weapons on characters outside of battle and in this case you can put weaponS on him because he says he can hold weaponS of any brigade. This is what we call a loophole and one that will probably be slammed shut before anyone gets to use it but until then the only thing that matters is the literally reading of the card, not that when it was made it was meant to mean "a weapon of any brigade".

Stick him in battle, then give him 2kH, Namaan's Chariot, Foreign Sword, and if you survive long enough the first time, you can add Egyptian horses and Swift Horses for more drawing and/or Egyptian Spear for deck discard.
Just one more thing...
