If NJ  can't can't be included with TSC, wouldn't the NJ be the better option?

If you have One of the Seven and/or New Jerusalem/Bride of Christ, NJ might be a better option, but i'd say TSC is almost always better, as long as you have a reliable way to get rid of naz/hsr.

The second coming is always a better option you can get the Son of God out of your discard pile and play it again! You don't have to hold on to New Jerusalem in your hand waiting on your son of God.

From my personal experience I am thinking New Jerusalem may be better. I've found myself often playing Son of God too early with The Second Coming and even playing The Second Coming to the deck which practically costs you a soul and really hurts you if you are playing Grapes or if your opponent is. All in all I feel like finishing with Son of God New Jerusalem is still the strongest way to end a game. The Second Coming is nice when you have 4 and only need Son of God from the deck but it's kind of a rare occurrence.

One of Seven does negate both Nazzy and HSR.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

What do you mean by playing Son of God too early with The Second Coming? Unless Son of God gets removed from the discard pile (which will be less of an issue with Covenant of Prayer) or Hezekiah's Signet Ring is active you can always wait to draw Second Coming and use Son of God again.
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

sure but there are so many problem souls i often find myself using sog (assuming i have tsc) as an early out to gain advantage which then sets me back later game. classically, waiting for a tapped liner with 1 soul to sog/tsc or sog/nj has been my strongest finishing turn

usually in games you will win anyway playing sog tsc any time or early doesn't make a big difference. it's in the tight games where it matters to save them, i think. redemption is intriguing in that it has such a dynamic landscape

That has nothing to do with the card being good though. It giving you an option to misplay doesn't mean the card is bad when you misplay it. TSC is just better than NJ except for the one liability that things like signet ring stop it.

I don't know, I'm thinking TSC will always be the better play if you have it. TSC can recur AotL for easier rescues or Grapes for another block, but simply the off-chance that your SoG is discarded from deck makes TSC vastly superior to NJ for my bet.

NJ is a dead card without SoG. TSC is not (unless HSR is up and you can't deal with it).

If the original NJ rule is implemented again (the one that let you play it with an opponent's SoG), then you'd have some reason to use it over TSC. But now I'm seeing none.

The real Q is this: Why is this in Ruling Questions? ???
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

I typically prefer the versatility of TSC, but I've also seen people who don't own TSC still be very successful using SoG/NJ so I don't think it's that wide of a gap between the two. Perhaps we need to introduce another card or two that gives New Jerusalem just a bit more of a boost.  8)

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

The Woman with Child+New Jerusalem to Bride of Christ is a great attack if you have NJ instead of TSC. So many games are still down to who played their +2.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
