Quick question if a purple King enters battle and then is blocked buy an evil character that search is something out after the search is over with does TToD activate?

Second question can my opponent play the Christian martyr on my hero before I get a chance to complete TToD?

Question 1: yes, assuming something else wasn't triggered (another special ability like Music Leader or even a SI situation like Nebuchanezzar adding the searched for card to battle).

Question 2: no, if your opponent blocks then TToD must complete before CM can be played.

I just want to make sure I got this right. If I play King David in the battle with TToD up and he blocked with neberkenezer which lets him search out an enhancement and play it the enhancement discards a character in my territory he cannot then play the Christian martyr right away he would have to wait until TToD was complete before he plays the Christian martyr?

Thanks guys.

Okay so I thought of one more thing what if Nebuchadnezzar got a weapon class card and played it would that stop TToD from activating?

When David was blocked there was no weapon class enhancement in battle but if Nebuchadnezzar goes and gets one does that stop TToD?

Yes, that would stop Throne. Throne triggers after all the completion of all abilities that the EC creates.

It would be the same thing if your king was blocked by one Evil Character who then banded to another EC with a weapon. Even though the original EC did not have a weapon, the completion of its ability resulted in an evil weapon being in battle.

Okay I understand that so why doesn't the Christian martyr work? I thought that after each special ability is completed that dominant initiative happens. So as soon as neberkenezer completes his ability and does not get a weapon class enhancement then there is dominant initiative right? Or does the Throne of David trigger before dominant initiative is given?

All pending triggers (mandatory or optional) must trigger first before a dom is played. A dom cannot insert itself between abilties.

You can play a dominant at any time (ignoring dominant initiative for the sake of example) but think of abilities as all activating and completing instantly, with no time in between. The ability of the EC entering battle, throne, and the ability of the enhancement played off throne all happen in the same instant of time with no amount of it in between them.

Throne says "when blocked", meaning that its effect occurs after the evil character is put in battle. Since CM doesn't interrupt it, you don't get a chance to play it before Throne activates, similar to how you can't play CM between when an enhancement is played and when its ability activates. Dominant initiative doesn't happen until all played abilities are activated.
That said, if you play CM before presenting a blocker, Throne won't get a chance to activate, since the "when blocked" never happened.

ANB is good. Change my mind.

It doesn't quite happened all at once like you guys are referring to because if Nebuchadnezzar goes and gets a weapon class enhancement and plays it then that nullifies TToD. I understand it a little but it's still confusing. When the blocks starts with Nebuchadnezzar there's no weapon class in battle his ability completes and there is one and that stops TToD. I understand how it's supposed to work it just doesn't quite line up with everything.

Abilities still happen sequentially but relative to everything else (such as playing dominants) they happen in the same instant.

TToD's trigger is tripped right when an EC blocks a King. However, it doesn't actually activate until it reaches its turn in the activation queue (after said Evil Character's ability activates and everything that follows from that). Once it does, it performs its check for weapons, then brigades. Seeing a weapon in battle, the draw and play part does not activate.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
