Just curious why we're using his surname, aka last name or family name?


And with everyone calling him Thad, can I just refer to others as Anders, Ha, Als, Isb, and so on?

Simple cancellation:
Lebbaeus = Lebbaeus
Thaddaeus Thaddaeus

"b" must be the inverse of "d"
Lebb  OR Lebb OR Le(b⁴)
Thadd    Tha/bb   Tha

My original plan was to cancel out the bb/dd, prove that it all equaled "Le Tha" and make some pun about how Thaddeaus was my cup of tea.  (Thé [kinda pronounced Tha] means "tea" in French).

I guess the only thing this proves is that it's impossible to mess with Thad and have it come out like you want it to.

Is actual name was Judas, I believe. I thought Thaddeus was called Thaddeus by Jesus, similar to Simon being called Peter.

If Thaddeus is his surname, and he's actually Jude, does that mean that Jesus' surname was Thaddeus too?
