If I play reach of desp. on my converted Saul/Paul and play united army and band in my captain, do I have to put the cards I drew back on top?

Cards played by Paul are CBN.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Funny how sometimes our questions can be answered ...if we read the cards   ;)

I'm pretty sure Saul can't be CONVERTED into Paul... I do believe the word you mean is REPENT?  Otherwise if you play a conversion card on Saul, He stays Saul, but becomes a hero of the brigade specified.  To make Saul repent into Paul, you must use specific repent cards, otherwise it would be WAY to easy to turn him into Paul.   ;)

Um, actually, everything the poster above me said is wrong. Any convert will turn Saul into multicolor Paul.

I must disagree.  Convert cards specifically say "Convert an evil character into a hero of >Insert Brigade<."  Thus, Saul is a hero of the specified color, even if you make him Paul, his special ability would be negated and he would be limited to that specific brigade color.

repent=convert now. it didn't used to. conversion cards make saul "repent," making him become paul.

Site the reg that changed that because that's incredibly lame.  It basically makes 3 cards that I know of rather pointless.  If it has been changed to that, then that was a mistake.  It's not hard to get Saul to repent without a conversion card.

And regardless, Saul would not become Multi-colored Paul because you still have to do what the enhancement says, so if it says make him a white brigade hero, then he is a white brigade hero and not multi-colored.

no, Saul Repents, Ananais of Damascus, and Blinding Light are all somewhat useful in Booster.

that was not a mistake. paul isn't that op'd anyway, and being able to use Holy Grail on that is super awesome.
Saul/Paul (as Saul)

Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Grey • Ability: 11 / 10 • Class: None • Special Ability: This card enters play as Saul. When Saul repents he becomes Paul. • Play As: This card enters play as Saul. When Saul is converted by any means he becomes Paul (at face value).  • Identifiers: NT Male Human, Pharisee (Rome), Prophet • Verse: Acts 8:3 • Availability: Apostles booster packs (Ultra Rare) • Background
from the REG.

Well, I find that to be horrible.  It makes it way too easy to turn Saul into Paul.  This is the first thing that has me losing faith in this game.

Paul's not nearly as overpowered as some cards, really I wouldn't be worried about it.

If you thing this is the "end of the Game" then I really dont want to be the one to tell you about Garden Tomb, High Places, AoCP and a host of other cards that are WAY more game changing than paul.

paul is still pretty easy to kill inspite of the fact that he is a prophet and can use Hidden Treasures to play first on a RA when converted.

Well no, it's that I normally use Saul/Paul and I liked the fact that it USED to be somewhat of a challenge to make him repent, so it was always a surprise to the guys I play with when I'd get him to repent.  I don't like unique abilities to be made easy to obtain.

I have found my way around those cards quite easily.  Plus, you still need to somewhat use specific cards to make those cards effective.

A few original cards had errors on them until discussions like this corrected them  ;)

While I admire the added challenge, cards who's s.a. is made to do a brand new type of special ability to a single card seems to make no sense.

Hm, yes the regs do say if Saul is converted by any means he becomes Paul... pity.  Oh well, it will just make him that much easier to become Paul...
