So the TEAMS (why does everybody capitalize the whole word?) rules say that "your" means owned and controlled by you or your opponent. Does that actually mean OR or does it mean AND?
For example, it's been ruled that I can place Magic Charms on my magician or my teammate's Magician. What happens if I play an enhancement that sets aside all "your" human heroes for one turn (such as Pentecost below)? Do my partner's heroes get set aside, too, or instead? If so, do they return on his/her turn or my next turn? If his/her turn, do they get to use the benefit effect of my set aside enhancement instead of me, in addition to me, or not at all?
Pentecost
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Teal/Purple • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Set aside all of your human Heroes for one turn. On return, you may draw three cards. • Identifiers: OT, Feast • Verse: Leviticus 23:16 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Ultra Rare)

your is possesive, thus the person playing the card.

I asked the "other Prof" about this once, and his response was that he did it once and just felt like continuing to do it. No real reason other than that. I guess it stuck.

You get to choose whose Heroes would be affected by such a set-aside. It is an XOR though, so you don't set aside all of yours and your teammate's. If you choose your teammate's, I am pretty certain that they would come back on your teammate's upkeep/prep phase, but you (the player of Pentecost) would get to draw. Your opponent would not draw at all. That would be how I'd rule it, but I will defer to a more official voice in TEAMS rulings if I am wrong.

Was that changed? I thought it could still mean you or your teammate.

Haha, okay :P
opponent's teammate's Magician.
Fix'd.

If they do return during my teammate's upkeep, would I draw then (due to the "on return" clause) or would I still wait to draw until my upkeep?
-
You would draw on return, as the card says. Your upkeep has nothing to do with anything, because they are your teammate's characters.

I really can't remember. So my typical answers are:
1 - No reason, just stuck (as the "Other Prof" mentioned)
2 - Originally had an acronym that went with it, but it's been lost to antiquity
3 - Because TEAMS is so awesome, that it deserves all CAPS ;)
your is possesive, thus the person playing the card.

Unfortunately, this was changed for Nats this year. Rob decided that he wanted "your" to have it's typical definition of "owned and controlled" by the player playing the card. It eliminates a few of the cool combos that emphasize the teamwork within the TEAMS event, however it also eliminates challenging ruling questions like this one :)

Will the rules thread be updated with the changes soon? My partner and I are trying to learn teams for the WI state tournament next month but the thread had no indication that changes had been made.

The rules for TEAMS at Nats this year have been posted for quite some time. You can find them here. (http://ggamestore.com/home/teamsrules)
As for Rob's changes, they were posted here on the forum and can be found here. (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=17965.msg320275#msg320275)

um, since when can charms be placed on your partners magician? only forts, lob, and lor are shared...not ec's or arts.

I agree, also artifacts are suppose to only work for the owner of the cards, so Magic Charm would not work on teamates magicians.

When your = you or your teammate. Since that is no longer the case, you can no longer perform such an action.
-
so are you saying magic charms can be placed on your teammates magician or not?
additionally, say i play pentecost from hand off a hero in my territory, targeting my teammates heroes. when does his heroes come back and when does he d3? when his turn comes around, or my next turn?

Previous to Rob's ruling on the "your" issue, you could place it on your teammate's magician, but now you can't.

Once again, when Rob changed the "your" ruling, you can only target your own heroes, and it plays like in any other game. My previous answers were ignorant of the change, so they can be disregarded.
