May i place Magic Charms on my partner's magician if I activate it?
Quote from: 3-Liner And Bags Of Chips on November 05, 2009, 06:29:34 PMMay i place Magic Charms on my partner's magician if I activate it?You can activate Magic Charms on your teammate's Magician. That is the purpose of the following from the team play rules:"your" means that the card is owned by you or your teammate, and controlled by you or your teammate. "opponent's" and "opponents'" and "opponent" all mean either player on opposing TEAM.Since Magic Charms says "May be activated on your Magician", in teams it means the Magician must be owned and controlled by you or your teammate.Mike
You can activate Magic Charms on your teammate's Magician...Since Magic Charms says "May be activated on your Magician", in teams it means the Magician must be owned and controlled by you or your teammate.
So you can use it on your partner's magicians but you get to activate it?
Are we ever going to get a list of set rules for this??? Even if it was a basic outline, I think it would be nice.
I guess I see it like a temple. Arts are not shared. However fortresses are. Therefore, I can activate an art in my pile and put it in a temple and another in my art pile. Then on my teammates turn they may deactivate that art in the temple (but not the one in my art pile). Because it is in a shared fortress, they gain "control" over that art in the temple. If I activate an art on their character, then when it is their turn, they control that character and therefore gain "control" over that art as well. When it is my turn again, I don't control that character (unless I band it into battle), and therefore, I wouldn't "control" that art either. What do you think?
I don't think you CAN put it on a partner's magician... you don't share fortresses OR characters... that just doesn't make sense. But you can put it on your own then "pass" it through kingdoms of this world.
The team play rules indicate that "your" in a special abiltythe attribute says"May be activated on YOUR magician."
Definitions: "your" means that the card is owned by you or your teammate, and controlled by you or your teammate. "opponent's" and "opponents'" and "opponent" all mean either player on opposing TEAM.

How does it apply to these situations:1 - My partner rescues with Chariot of Fire active. Do my Heroes shuffle back into my deck too?2 - A player from Team A rescues with Simeon. Do both opponents on Team B discard for Simeon's ability?3 - If one team member plays Holy Unto the Lord do both members of that team have to reveal their hand and discard the evil cards? There were a lot of situations like these that came up during our teams game tonight but I think the answers to these should cover all the different scenerios. Thanks,Gabe
1. Since Chariot of Fire shuffles Heroes in a singular "Your" discard pile and "Your" can mean you OR your teammate, then your teammate can choose to shuffle the heroes in your discard pile OR his discard pile (and since you can talk openly, you can decide together which one to do).2. Since opponent means EITHER player on opposing team, the person playing Simeon's special ability gets to pick which one of the two opponents has to discard a card.3. Since Holy Unto the Lord says to reveal your hand (singular), your means you OR your teammate. The person playing the special ability gets to pick which hand is revealed (but again you get to openly talk about it, so it's a joint decision, but the person playing the special ability is the one who officially declares which one you are choosing).
Since forts are shared, I'm assuming any time an artifact is in a fortress that artifact is also shared?
Can I play a card that says search YOUR draw pile to search my team-mate's draw pile?
If I CAN, what about cards that simply say "search draw pile"? Is that assumed to read "search holder's draw pile"?
