It says if my demon is discarded...I may hold it in Tartaros instead. Is the discard it's referring to a discard ability or also if the demon is discarded after battle when it lost by the number?
-
The discard can be either by ability or game rule.

Thanks

What about discarding from hand?
-
If they are discarded from hand or deck, I don't think they go to Tartaros, but I could be wrong on that one, I'm not 100% certain.
-
I'll have to confirm wording, but if it's worded like Chamber then it would.
-
That's a good question. I would say no since deck and hand are out of play and Tartaros would default to demons that are in play that are being discarded or captured.
Here's Tartaros' ability: If your demon is discarded or captured, you may hold it here instead. If your demon wins a battle you may underdeck a demon from here.
-
My question is where do the demons go when both old and new tartaros are in play?

You can't control old and new at the same time.
-
I know that but what if you have the new one in your territory and I have the old one in my territory where do the demons go? You might want to go read both of them again before you answer.
-
Relevant portion of abilities:
-New Tartaros' ability: If your demon is discarded or captured, you may hold it here instead.
-Old Tartaros' ability: All demons that holder captures, discards, or has in Land of Bondage are placed in Tartaros.
If each player has one of these in play, I would guess that the one that was in play first would allow the instead first. I.e.: if old Tart was the one played first then the player doing the discard would get to take it to their Tart before the opponent could instead it to their new Tart.

The old Tartaros said "if you discard a demon place here". While the new one said "If you're demon is discarded, place here instead." Normally, don't we go by the chronicle order which card place on the field first? If this is the true, then it could work both ways. Or it is based on the turn of the player?

Since Tartaros is an "Instead" ability, it targets abilities, not cards. Dust and Ashes has been ruled to "save Job" if he is, say, targeted by Vain Philosophy in hand. I've always played that Tartaros holds demons discarded from hand or deck.
-
Since new Tartaros is an optional ability and old Tartaros is mandatory, seems that the old Tartaros would take precedence.

pretty sure chamber and tartaros do not activate for angels or demons discard from out of play.. same as how you can't heal a character being discarded from hand/deck.
the new heal ruling may still include set aside, not sure.. seems like it targets characters in play
