Do/can you choose the target(s) for a card more than once, or is the selection made once when you first play the card?
For example, I have Crown of Thorns active (ECs decrease 0/3) and no heroes in play and then I place Mary Magdalene (Di, ability unimportant) down and make an RA with her. My opponent blocks with Archelaus (Herod, ability unimportant), I pass initiative, and he/she plays Imprisoned to capture Mary. I use Words of Encouragement to interrupt the battle, draw, and play No Need for Spices to ignore evil gold. Since I didn't negate Imprisoned, does my opponent then pick a new, legal target for it or does it fizzle and not reactivate since it's original target (Mary) is now an illegal target?
Imprisoned (Di)
Special Ability: Negate protect abilities on good cards and Artifacts. Capture a Hero. If used by a Herod, this cannot be prevented by a good card.
No Need for Spices (RA)
Special Ability: Negate evil immunity. Female N.T. Heroes ignore one evil brigade in battle.
