If I do a rescue attempt with asking Amaziah and use his ability to choose King Basha to block from your own territory, can your opponent play enhancements on King Basha or can you choose not to play enhancements and automatically win?

If I do a rescue attempt with asking Amaziah and use his ability to choose King Basha to block from your own territory, can your opponent play enhancements on King Basha or can you choose not to play enhancements and automatically win?

The character is under their control for the battle so they can play enhancement under the normal rules (which is why it's always a good idea to choose a blocker of a brigade they aren't playing if you have one)
