Sow, Reap and Rejoice - "What does rescue the hero mean?"

Good Afternoon Everybody,

Had a question on the new RoJ card "Sow Reap and Rejoice." The SA states : If your Disciple or N.T. gold Hero is alone and opposed during a rescue attempt, and you have fewer Redeemed Souls than opponent, you may discard your hand to rescue the Hero in battle.

Does this mean that I can rescue the hero as a lost soul and it counts a redeemed lost soul or does it mean that I can save him from getting discarded. I just want to make sure I understand the card before I put it in my deck.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Rescue the Hero in battle means place the Hero in your Land of Redemption and treat it as a redeemed soul.

Thank you for posting the ability! Yes it rescues the Hero to count as a redeemed soul. I used this card at booster draft at north central regionals and rescued my Hero with it. Not all that great, but it's sneaky. 8)
Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale.

Can a rescue of a lost soul be negated? In other words can you negate this card after it is played?

Thanks,

Lance

Unless it is the winning soul (and ends the game), you can negate a rescue. The issue with negating Sow, Reap, and Rejoice is it has to be something like Unsuccessful (Curse) or Gam's Speech (placed enhancement) since the opposing evil character won't get initiative after the hero rescues itself.

Except using SRR to get the winning soul would mean your opponent already won. 😉
