SOG/NJ questions from the Bible vs Reg topic

Well if we are going to follow the Bible, then change the ruling on rescuing the NT and */4 or higher lost soul, because God can rescue everyone, and this is ridiculous to the game.  Son of God should be able to redeem these lost souls.

Hold up....Son of God and New Jerusalem CAN'T rescue the NT and +4?  SOG says "rescue ANY lost soul in play".  NJ says "Play this card simultaneously with the Son of God card and rescue ANY additional Lost Soul in play".  In our area we have always played that SOG/NJ could rescue any soul regardless of that soul's SA. Can someone please give me a link to the reg where this is forbidden?

Additionally, the question came up here recently on whether or not when using SOG/NJ to rescue a LS in an opponent's territory, can the rescuer choose which LS is rescued if there is more than 1 in play in opponent's LOR?  We do not play rescuer's choice on any other rescue but we do on SOG/NJ.  Is this correct or not?

Thanks!

Quote from: Redemption Rulebook>Diagram of a Turn>Battle Phase
Dominants Played During the Battle Phase

You and/or your opponent can play a dominant(s) (lamb or grim reaper icon) at any time during the game. Neither you nor your opponent is required to wait for initiative or turn to play a dominant. The special ability on dominants is instantaneous and nothing can interrupt or negate the effect of these cards. (For example, neither Jerusalem Tower nor Hezekiah’s Signet Ring prevents Harvest Time). However, cards can be protected from dominants. (For Example, Enoch and Goshen protect against Christian Martyr. The Lost Soul cards with the reference from Acts 11:18 or II Chronicles 15:4 cannot be rescued by any dominant). Dominants are extremely useful in battle, though they may be played at other times.

The person who plays SoG/NJ chooses both LS's to rescue. Always.

An additional note, NJ cannot redeem the Women-Only (Jeremiah 7:18) soul either.

I thought it could because the card says can only be rescued by a woman or the son of god.
Also, is it ruled that if your opponent plays SoG then you can NOT play NJ with his SoG?
because someone used that on me but they hadn't played in years then I heard it was found to be illegal

Several years ago, the change was made that there was no way you could simultaneously play your NJ with your opponent's SoG, so it was detrermined that the play was impossible. Following a strict definition of simultaneous, there is really no way you can play your NJ simultaneously with your OWN SoG, but the few microsecond delay in one hitting the table after the other is negligible compared to the few second delay that would be inevitable if you tried to play NJ with your opponent's SoG (unless you are a mind reader of course).
