Based on rulings that you can add Sites from territory to battle after the opponent has declined to block a battle challenge, you can use Sixth Bowl to add a king here. Those same rulings still allow the opponent to block after that change, so the opponent could still defend.
Amazing cannot choose a Hero during a taunt, because the Hero is not attacking - the taunting characters are.
