I am confused on site access.  I understood that sites protect lost souls from rescue.  Meaning, if my opponent does not have access to a sites and I have a lost soul in a site, I can put a lost soul in a site up for rescue and my opponent cannot rescue it.

Is that correct?  Enlighten me on sites...

In T1, a player attacks you with a blue hero. You have an occupied purple site, an occupied silver site, and a Lost Soul not in a site. The rescuing player, right now, only has access to the one not in a site. If you remove it somehow, he is now in a battle challenge, since he cannot rescue any other Lost Souls (unless he gains site access). Hope that answers your question!

Sites can also be used offensively, to access a matching color site. In Minion's example above, the attacking player could bring an unoccupied purple site into battle with the blue hero to gain access to his opponent's occupied purple site. The player could also bring in any multicolor site for this purpose.

If for any reason the site in battle is discarded, the blue hero would no longer have access to the LS in the occupied purple site.

That's very helpful.

A couple questions...

(1) Dragon Raid - Is a multi-colored site. It could be used for access as well then, with the bonus of LS negating. Right?

(2) Battle challenge. If a player cannot access a LS due to site access, but chooses to battle challenge, does his opponent have to accept the challenge?

1.) Yes, that is the main purpose of Dragon Raid - to access any color occupied site.

2.) If the defending player has not yet presented a blocker, then they can refuse the Battle Challenge.
