Simon the zealot ability to protect your hand and deck while he is away. Question he is interrupted and set aside for 2 turns and then comes back does ability turned back on? Or does he have to go back in the battle to turn it back on

I think it would still be active if he goes to set aside. I think it would only reset if he went to either hand, discard, or deck.

Simon says he protects while he remains in play. If he is set aside, he no longer is in play, and his protection turns off. He's not a territory class hero, so if he wants to reactivate that ability, he's going to have to re-enter battle.
