Shobach

Ok so, Shobach is a grey evil character that reads: (mmhmm) may use and hold weapons of any brigade. May band to a generic Syrian.
So, my question is, does he have to be in battle when you put the weapon on him if it is a different brigade?

Yes. Character special abilities are not active outside of battle unless they specify otherwise (i.e. "while this character remains in play").

Ok, thank you, but does he keep the weapon? example: self stays that hero until the hero is discarded even though he is not in battle, like banding. does it work if he's not in battle, or do you have to add  weapon every battle?

Yes. His SA is active in battle, and says he may "hold" any weapon, which comes after battle. Once the character is "holding" a weapon, he does not need to "re"-hold it after that.

YES! ok, how about this band: Gomer (for haman's plot) to Shobach (play two thousand horses in battle) to syrian archer to naaman with his chariots and horses. draw 4 and play 2. does this sound like it could do well to you?

I was assuming he meant to band Gomer to Shobach to Syrian Archer to Namaan (with NC&H) - draw two and play 2k Horses - draw two and play Haman's Plot. If he also uses Syrian Archer's discard ability, then that would likely wipe out most of their offense.

Yes, you are correct. Except I use the gray captures and raiders camp. (with house of rimmon of course) with both of those weapons, you can play TWO cnbn captures with naaman and then some and kill a Captain band. HAHA ultra-win

but...you only need one capture to be played. if you're going to release them with Raider's Camp anyway. if not, well, play away.
