this really doesn't make any sense to me, at all.
i mean when you say "weapon" i think of swords,daggers,knives,bow and arrows, and guns.
how can a chariot and horses be a weapon?

It's not that the horses/chariots are weapons in an of themselves, any more than a Coat of Mail is a weapon. The 'Weapon class' seems to be used as more of an "Equipment Class"

Not really, As much as coat of mail is armor, so is a chariot, and a chariot won't move without horses.

You obviously haven't played Battle for Middle Earth... 

.... nor have seen the movie Gladiator, with those chariots that had swords/spikes sticking out of the wheels... 

Maybe some weapon class cards are iffy but chariots and horses is not one of them.  I think maybe you are thinking that "weapon" has to be something that a person can hold and swing or shoot at someone else.  Cruise Missiles are weapons, right?  So are nukes, cannons, catapults, etc...  In many ancient battles, chariots were the equivalent of tanks and you would aknowledge those are weapons, right?  Chariots could provide some defensive capability but I think the main purpose was to provide a mobile platform for archers and to ride over and crush opposing infantry.  Horses were also trained for war; they would bite, kick, and trample to death enemy infantry. 

how can a chariot and horses be a weapon?

I actually thought the same thing at first but after studying history it makes sense.
