Question:

If my hero has a "pre-block" ability, such as Jacob (FooF), which states: "may band to a silver brigade hero, or you may play a Genesis Enhancement." Suppose I want to use the second part (play a Genesis enhancement); does that mean that I MUST play the enhancement BEFORE my opponent selects a blocker, or can I wait to see who he blocks with, and then use the special ability of playing a Genesis enhancement.

You must play it as soon as the Hero enters battle, when the ability activates.
