So my cousin and I were playing with the 3rd edition starter set and I had the Seventh Trumpet enhancement, but I was not sure if I could use it on his evil blocking character.
I would assume you could, but wanted to check here first. This was one of the few cards that can cause such confusion, but again I can only assume that using it on the evil blocking character would make sense as I could then get a free pass at a Lost Soul.
Any help on this subject would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Yes you can use it aas longvas it is a human u are converting.

Wyatt is correct. Since it doesn't specify that the character has to be in a particular place, it can target any evil character in play (including in battle). If they do not stop it, and have no more evil characters in battle (and don't stop you from being able to rescue another way, like with dominants), then you would win and get a soul, if available.

Thank you for the responses! I appreciate the clarification.

Sorry, I forgot to ask one more important question on the "convert" mechanic. If I were to convert an opponents evil char to a good char do I then take control of that char, or does the opponent still have control of them, but only as a hero at that point?

They still havee control unless the card says otherwise.
