Are set aside enhancements considered to be placed on the characters until they return from set aside? For instance, play Pentecost on somebody and thus enabling your opponent to Rubble and Dust your hero?

The set aside Enhancements are actually discarded once played. Even if they weren't, I'm pretty sure they're not placed on the character.
