Author Topic: Tartaros Please Modify REG/Errata to say Tartaros is Set-Aside (Read 1576 times)

I was recently told that Tartaros has errata that it is played to the set aside area. However, this isn't on the Errata list or in the REG. Is this true and unwritten? Or is it unwritten because it's false?

I think it may be unwritten. It was decided on the boards a while back I think after one of those 30 page fueds between Schaef and Bryon. Was it deleted in one of the great board purges?

That's possible, but I thought it was more resent than the last plurge. It does play to set aside, though, per Bryon. Why it is not in a play-as, I don't know, because I thought it was added on on a list to be added.

However, the REG does refer to Tartaros as a fort that goes to set aside:

Instant Abilities > Return to Draw Pile > Special Conditions
"Although characters in Kingdoms of the World and Goshen are protected, the Fortresses themselves are not protected and are shuffled into the draw pile. Any characters inside them are no longer protected and are shuffled into the draw pile as well. The same is true of fortress cards in a set-aside area such as Potter’s Field and Tartaros."

SK, thats an interesting quote. Its odd that it would be referred to as a card that gets set aside even though it isn't designated as one anywhere.

Also, I found another thread where a bunch of people were sitting around wondering about the REG's entry. I have no idea why it died without a resolve, though.

Then there's this thread that started about The Pit (but morphed into a Tartaros discussion), but includes a post I made but had forgotten about with info on previous Tartaros threads, which includes this thread with a good discussion of it and reasoning from Bryon and Schaef.

I find it funny that the issue is quickly solved that it goes to set aside once quotes and rulings are presented, but as soon as someone mentions updating the REG entry, the thread dies...

Wow, I didn't even remember asking this before. Oh well. Even so, I think that it needs to be updated in the REG or at least on the errata list on the boards.
