Title: Set aside?
Post by: Sean on February 03, 2009, 08:26:13 PM
Several cards refer to cards that "were set aside" so what is the trigger that adds this particular state to cards?  If, for example, I have a character with the special ability, "While in play, you may set aside this character.  You may return character to territory during your preparation phase."  I then set this hypothetical character aside and return him during the same preparation phase.  Does he gain the state of "was set aside"?

I would think so.  Cards that are in the set aside area have been set aside (see: Emp. Augustus, Persian Presidents), and a "was" or "were" set aside would mean they returned from set aside.

Yeah, that's what it seems to me.
