Title: Seeds of Rebellion
Post by: SomeKittens on January 27, 2012, 07:05:17 PM
Seeds of Rebellion (AW)

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Brown • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Place this card on a Hero. While this card remains, Hero decreases 0/2 per turn. When Hero is reduced to */0 or less, remove Hero from the game. Treat as a disease. • Play As: Place this card on a Hero. Disease selected Hero and decrease Hero 0/2 per turn while this card remains. If Hero reaches */0 or less, remove Hero from the game. • Identifiers: OT, Disease, Connected with Demons • Verse: I Samuel 15:23 • Availability: Angel Wars booster packs (Common)

When does the first decrease happen?  On place, or at the beginning of the next turn?  Does the decrease happen every turn, or only at the beginning of a certain player's turn?

The first decrease happens during the upkeep phase, I believe it only decreases at the beginning of the holder's turn.

When something says that it happens "every turn" or "# turns" then the counters are added during the upkeep phase. This mostly applies to set asides and poisons, but there might be a few other situations.

So, to put the previous two posts together, the decrease happens when counters are added, which is during the Upkeep Phase of the player who controls the target.

The upkeep phase of holder or every players upkeep?

Unless it specifies, I believe it would be every players upkeep.

The default is every upkeep of the target, not every players' upkeep. Seeds of Rebellion on Joseph will remove him from the game on his owner's next turn before he can do anything. That's why I always run Caves over Tassels :)

Okay so lets say the LS that sets a hero aside for 2 turns comes up(Does the hero come back after 2 of the heroes holders turns or after one of the holders turns and one opponents turn?) or I play a card like Seven Years of Plenty(do the cards only get drawn during the holders turn?).

Jeremiah 3_25 (RA)
Type: Lost Soul • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: When you draw this card, you may set aside a Hero from each territory for two turns. •

Seven Years of Plenty - evil (FF2)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 7 / 0 • Class: Territory • Special Ability: Search deck for a Genesis or Exodus Fortress. Place this card in your territory for 7 turns: Each upkeep, if you control a Genesis character, you may draw 1.

The Heroes from the Shame LS get updated on their owner's upkeep.

On 7 years, you only draw on your own upkeep.
