I completely agree that Bryon and Mike are sorely missed on these boards. They have both been close to AWOL since Nats. Even Schaef hasn't been posting as much on issues like this. There hasn't been a REG update in forever either, I know that there has been work on a complete overhaul, but I think it either needs to be released (cough - Tim - cough), or some updates need to be made.

The boards could get lost in chaos if there isn't any "official" input keeping the ship sailing into the right direction.

I think it's more understandable; protection from discard with heroes is usually only against evil cards anyway.

Hey,

If you convert Emperor Nero to a Hero is he immune to himself? No. Immunity to good brigades is not in the nature of what heroes do. So if you can't convert an Evil Character to be immune to himself, you can't use Adino's Spear to do it either.

Hey,

Discard is not an inherently good or evil thing. It appears on both types of cards. So both types of cards can protect against it. Good gold brigade is only a good thing. There are no evil good gold cards (wow that sounds beyond painfully obvious).

That's the difference I see.

Well I'm pretty sure combo combo combo congo was initially legal, but Rob said that you can no longer be immune to or ignore yourself.

That rule has also been implemented.

The one about being protected from yourself was more instigated by the question of whether Thad would protect an Immunity EC from his own immunity.
